The Towy Group AGM was held on December 16th in Lancaster. delegates shown from l-r, Stan Jenkins ( Heritage lead), Ellen McSwiggan ( Domestic supervisor), Kenny Gillies (Treasurer) and James Shuttleworth (Business Manager&, Webmaster). Next AGM will be held again at 'Cloudsmoor' in Lancaster on Sunday, November 16th 2008 at 10a.m.

Friends of Towy AGM, 10.12.05

  • £5000 stern end appeal launched. £1000 grant application has been made to Waterways Trust, decision to be made in January 2006.
  • £500 improvements to boater's comforts and facilities approved.
  • Domestic Supervisor Ellen McSwiggan recruited for one year trial period, post to be reviewed.
  • Kenny Gillies confirmed as Trip Organiser:
  • Confirmed planned trip to Middlewich Boat and Folk Festival  in June.
  • Confirmed trip to Clayton's Gathering in Oldbury in July.
  • Confirmed trip to East London in 2006 or 2007.
  • Establish partnership with CCHT and Cambrian Community.
  • William Bellchambers suggests obtaining corporate sponsorship for the vessel, and upgrading website for search engine access.
  • Working party planned for weekend of May 13th/14th, place to be decided nearer the time.
  • Towy remains at Streethay Boatyard awaiting repairs to engine.
